A&P Mechanic
Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Fort Worth, Texas
Position Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft, engines, and components for our Part 145 repair station
- Understand repair station procedures, forms, tags, and required paperwork per the shop's manuals and FAA manuals
- Maintain the minimum required tools to perform mechanic duties
- Research maintenance task instructions and required parts in manufacturer maintenance manuals
- Identify and tag all aircraft components removed during maintenance or modification
- Protect aircraft exteriors and interiors prior to work commencement
- Travel to other locations to conduct aircraft maintenance as needed, including AOG
- Maintain a safety-first mindset
- Perform additional duties as assigned by a Crew Leader or Supervisor
Required Education & Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Airframe & Powerplant license and a valid driver's license
- A minimum of 3 years of experience
- Strong working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations and the ability to understand manufacturer manuals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a hot and noisy environment
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
Preferred Experience
- General aviation aircraft experience — Diamond, Piper, Cessna, Beechcraft, Mooney, or similar
- Avionics background
